How to judge hydrophobicity of rock wool easily?
1. Site easy hydrophobic test
(1) Shoot water to the surface of rock wool with drop bottle in hand
(2) Observe whether water spots permeate into rock wool. If they do not permeate into rock wool but form drop on the surface, it can be seen that the hydrophobic effect is good; if water spots permeate into rock wool to leave a mark, it can be seen that the hydrophobic effect is worse.
2. Wrong easy hydrophobic test method
Splash water on the rock wool strongly, the water will enter into rock wool under the effect of impact force to leave a mark, but this cannot be seen that the hydrophobic effect of rock wool is poor.
Notes: Easy hydrophobic test is only a simple method to judge the hydrophobic performance of rock wool, which cannot be regarded as the accurate method to judge the hydrophobic performance of rock wool. All shall be subject to the laboratory test data.
