Beidaihe New Area Tuanlin Experimental School, located in Changli County, Qinhuangdao City, is a Sino-Germany passive low-energy building demonstration project jointly organized by Science and Technology and Industrial Development Center of Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development and Deutsche Energie-Agentur (dena).

Tuanlin Experimental School, as the first school constructed according to passive residential standard, will become benchmarking of ultra low-energy building. Bosheng Rock Wool, as the key enterprises of rock wool industry in China, has excellent product durability and stability, fireproof safety, thermal insulation, sound-absorbing noise reduction and other combination properties, which won the approval of owner and finally became a partner of this demonstration project.

The teaching building of Tuanlin Experimental School is made of foundational wall with the thickness of 22cm and insulation material of Bosheng Rock Wool with the thickness of 30cm, of which the insulation material can make the house have good heat and sound insulation, convert above 80% of indoor exhaust gas to thermal energy through “controllable indoor ventilating device” of heat recovery system in sealed environment and introduce the filtered fresh air into the interior through central air ventilation system to let yearly temperature maintain between 20℃ and 26℃ basically. R&D Center of Bosheng Rock Wool studies various technical indexes of passive house elaborately and designs the dedicated rock wool products for the project – Bosheng 200K roof board, 200K flue sheet and 140K fire-barrier belt in order to ensure the air tightness and insulation effect of passive house meet the design

standard. The heat transfer coefficient of external wall and roof is 0.12W/(m2?K) and heat transfer coefficient of external window is 0.6W/(m2?K) after the completion of acceptance of the project. Bosheng rock wool, as the insulation material of this project, not only meets the requirements of passive house in the aspect of product performance, but also is given highly praise by owner and constructor in the aspects of timely supply, technical service support, etc.
